Time Out says

Get wet and wild, Geelong style

Adventure Park is the place to go when you want some waterside fun. There are plenty of waterslides, kids rides or family activities like go-karting or mini-golf. Start off with the Wild West Canyon, where the water slide takes you through a dark tunnel and you perform two 360 degree spins before moving onto the Aqua Racer, where you can speed down to the finish line at up to 40km per hour! Next up is the Gold Rush Rapids where you'll get flipped, slipped and spun down 110 metres of water slides awesomeness. If all this sounds a bit too exciting for you then ease yourself onto the Lazy River where you simply sit back in an inflatable ring and idly float down the tropically themed river.

For the thrillseekers (or the foolish) there is the Tornado which opened in late 2017. The biggest and longest waterslide of its kind in the state, this beast will drop you down from the 24-metre tower through the snaking slides. You'll even experience moments of zero gravity weightlessness! The newest ride to date, however, is the Tsunami – the Tornado's sister slide and the only triple funnel waterslide in Victoria.

Adventure Park reopens for the summer season on November 27, 2021.

What’s on

Winter Glow

  • Fairs and festivals

You might think water parks and winter don't mix (especially down here in Victoria). But Geelong's Adventure Park isn't letting a little cold weather stop them from providing Victorians with a good time – in fact, it's given them a little inspiration.  Adventure Park's Winter Glow festival is bringing lights, fire, ice and snow to the amusement park this winter. The festival (which runs from June 22 to July 21) features more than 100 glowing installations, fire twirling, ice sculptures and 3.3 million lights that will twinkle all around the park along a 2km trail. While real snow might be a rare sight in Geelong, there will be a big snow play zone where kids can make snowmen and snow angels (warm gloves, gumboots and jackets are recommended!).  A number of rides are included in entry to Adventure Park's Winter Glow event, including the Tea Cups, Air Balloon, Crazy Coaster, Wave Swinger, Carousel, Red Baron, Little Buggy and Ferris Wheel (what a way to see the park all lit up). Face painting, cookie decorating and marshmallow toasting will be on offer for the kids, while adults can enjoy a mug of hot chocolate, mulled wine or spiced cider. The park's standard food items will be available to purchase, plus there will be some more warming options (like sticky date puddings) on offer too.  Winter Glow festival is on at Adventure Park from June 22 to July 21. Find out more here.
